This variety of bingsu is the most representative of Korean bingsu even today, but for young people who like to try new and unique desserts, this may not be enough. Read on for the Korea Tourism Organization’s top ten unique dessert treats.

Hangang Landmark Reborn: “Some Sevit”
Hangang Landmark Reborn: “Some Sevit”
Rebranded Some Sevit by the Hyosung Group, which now operate them, the artificial islands that have stood—or floated, in this case—conspicuously empty almost continuously since they were completed in 2011 have been transformed into Seoul’s newest culture and leisure destination, a waterborne palace of art, entertainment and fine dining. Appearances in the upcoming Hollywood blockbuster “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” and the US reality program “America’s Next Top Model” have also drawn considerable public attention on the landmark. And with the renovation scheduled for completion in September, the fun has only just begun.

Geumsan Insam (Ginseng) Festival
Geumsan Insam (Ginseng) Festival: Health-enhancing ginseng tour
Marking its 34th year, the Geumsan Insam (Ginseng) Festival (Sep 19 to 28, 2014) has organized various programs to promote the superb quality of this ginseng, a special product of Geumsan-gun. Over the years, as ginseng production became more stable, more and more people consume ginseng on a regular basis to maintain their health rather than eating it only when they fall ill. This has led to a wider variety of ways ginseng is consumed, which includes extracts, food, and ginseng tea. Ginseng is also gaining more popularity overseas for its medicinal benefits.
